WHAT IS IT?

A Distance Learning class is one that is online: either partially or wholly off campus.

Distance Learning doesn't require your physical attendance on campus for a major part of the class. You learn and communicate with your instructor and class members using the Internet and other communication options.

Online Classes are supported mostly over the Internet and have a mandatory on-campus orientation meeting. These classes are supported mostly over the Internet. You must have access to a personal computer with Internet access and a current version of Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. Online classes have a mandatory on-campus orientation meeting which is indicated in the schedule of classes. Additional on-campus meetings may be required by the instructor.

Online classes are regular, transferable college credit courses but have a different delivery mode. They provide some alternatives for students who can't come to campus each week or prefer to study at their own pace. Much of the study is independent.

Hybrid Classes are similar to Online Classes but meet on campus for approximately half the normal time. These classes also have a mandatory on-campus orientation meeting.
