Mt. SAC offers a variety
of programs designed to develop or enhance vocational
proficiency for which certificates are awarded upon completion.
Certificates are recognized by business and industry and
are frequently a requirement for professional advancement.
Certificates are offered
in virtually every major discipline taught at the College,
including business management, accounting, architecture,
animation, computer programs, graphic desktop publishing,
electronics, interior design, landscaping, manufacturing,
photography, real estate, Telecommunications, TV broadcasting,
and welding.
Petitioning
Students who are in the last semester of a certificate
program must:
- Submit an Application for Certificate
form in the Admissions & Records Office;
- Complete at least ½ of the
credits earned toward the certificate at Mt. SAC;
- Earn a grade of “C” or
better in each course to be applied to the certificate.
